Techno Laser is a trusted UV Laser Marking Machine manufacturer in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, delivering high-contrast, permanent, and micro-precise marks on plastics, glass, PCB, silicon, ceramics, and coated metals. Our 355 nm “cold” UV technology minimizes the heat-affected zone (HAZ), enabling burr-free, crack-free marking with excellent readability for QR/DM codes, logos, and regulatory identifiers (such as UDI). Built for round-the-clock industrial duty with low maintenance and superior reliability, our systems are preferred by electronics, medical, packaging, automotive, and tooling industries across India.
Working Principle & Process Flow
A UV laser marker uses a frequency-tripled DPSS source (~355 nm). The shorter wavelength delivers higher photon energy, allowing a photo-chemical interaction (instead of thermal burning) on sensitive substrates. The beam is steered by a high-speed galvo head and focused through an F-Theta lens onto the work area. Artwork from CAD/design software is sent to the controller, which drives the galvo to “draw” vectors or raster fills. Because the process is largely a cold reaction, it yields high-contrast marks with negligible HAZ on polymers and glass. Optional vision alignment corrects for part position, and exhaust/filtration handles any micro-particulates for clean, consistent results.

Maintenance & Safety Tips
Monthly / Quarterly
Inspect optics (mirror/lens) and clean with approved swabs; verify beam quality.
Check galvo calibration and field flatness; re-scan scale grids if needed.
Service filters / exhaust; keep enclosure dust-free for consistent contrast.
Operating & Safety
Use certified eyewear for 355 nm UV; operate with interlocks enabled (Class-1).
Match power/speed to substrate; run quick DOE to lock best contrast without HAZ.
Avoid highly reflective setups without proper fixturing; ensure stable focus Z.
FAQs — UV Laser Marking Machine Manufacturer
Q1
Which materials are best suited for UV laser marking?
UV works excellently on plastics (ABS, PC, PA, PEEK), glass, PCB solder masks, ceramics, silicon, and coated metals—producing high-contrast marks with minimal heat impact.
Q2
Is UV better than fiber or CO₂ for small, sensitive parts?
For thin polymers, clear plastics, and glass, 355 nm UV typically gives cleaner, sharper results with negligible HAZ compared to fiber (1064 nm) or CO₂ (10.6 µm).
Q3
Can the system handle variable data and 2D codes at speed?
Yes. Our software supports CSV/ERP inputs, date/batch coding, serialization, and fast DataMatrix/QR with vision verification options.
Q4
What about enclosure safety and fume handling?
Machines can be supplied as Class-1 enclosed stations with interlocks, status lights, and integrated extraction/filtration for operator safety and cleanliness.
Q5
Do you provide fixtures and automation?
Absolutely—custom jigs, rotary axes, conveyors, vision alignment, and PLC/robot interfaces are available to meet throughput and traceability targets.
